Have Your Hearing Tested
Around 30% of workers are exposed to hazardous levels of noise at some point during there working day. Workplace noise presents a global health risk, with hearing protection now categorised at the highest level in terms of personal safety.
All employers have a legal duty to ensure any worker exposed to noise in excess of 80dB is offered hearing protection.
If you have been exposed to noise in the workplace without protection, it can be very difficult to prove when and how any hearing loss has occurred. It can be very useful to have a hearing test so that you have an up-to-date baseline of your hearing thresholds, before any noise exposure occurs. Also this can be useful to ensure that any new ear protection that you buy is doing it’s job effectively.
Impression Taking Service
There are many specialist manufacturers offering different types of earplugs for different types of noise exposure. Be sure to do your research to make sure that the plugs you buy are recommended for the type of noise that you are going to be exposed to. You will be required to send a clean impression of each ear.
We can take impressions of your ears locally for you to send to your chosen supplier. Both ears much be entirely wax free for this procedure. We can also remove the wax for you.
