Some hearing aids can exchange large quantities of information with one another, allowing them to work as one. This enables our brain to understand our whole environment much more easily, so that we can process incoming speech in a more meaningful way. Hearing aids can also use Bluetooth technology to connect to a whole range of other devices such as remote microphones, your mobile phone, and your TV.
Like most products today there are range of manufacturers, each producing different levels of technology, quality, and styles of hearing aids. Each style of hearing aid (e.g.: in-the-ear or behind-the-ear) will generally have a different range of features and benefits, at a variety of technology levels and prices to choose from. Generally, the more intelligent your hearing aid becomes, the more expensive it becomes. It has very little to do with size or style.
All styles of hearing aid are available, and we may advise you that a particular style is more suited to the type of hearing loss that you have.
