DATA PROTECTION – Privacy Notice

As custodian of personal information relating to your medical treatment, we must treat that information in accordance with all applicable law and guidance. This Privacy Notice provides you an overview of how we will manage your data, from the point at which it is gathered and onwards. We will use that information for a variety of purposes including, but not limited to, providing you with care and treatment, sharing it with other medical professionals and seeking feedback on your patient experience. We may also, with your specific agreement, contact you with marketing materials.

The type of information we will collect about you includes:

  • Your name
  • Address
  • Phone number
  • Email address
  • Your GP details

We will never collect sensitive information about you without your explicit consent. The information we hold will be accurate and up to date. You can check the information that we hold about you by emailing us. If you find any inaccuracies, we will delete or correct it promptly.

In accordance with the British Society of Audiology (BSA) guidelines, we may on occasion have cause to contact your GP with some medical information about you.

We also collect information in enquiry forms via our website, in order to process your enquiry This information is used for the purposes of enquiry response. We will retain certain personal information in order to inform you of future services. If you do not wish us not to retain this information, please contact us. Harborough Hearing Care will annually contact users to check you are still interested in receiving information regarding our services.

Objection to Processing
If you have any concerns or object to any of the purposes for which Harborough Hearing Care processes your data as set out above, please contact our data protection officer at admin@harboroughhearingcare.co.uk  If you have any concerns or if you Object to any of the purposes for which the clinicians responsible for your treatment process your data as set out above, please contact your clinician directly.

 

Forms of Communication
It will be necessary for us to communicate with you in relation to your healthcare. We share data with Archway Health Hub. We ordinarily seek to communicate with you by email, however we may also communicate with you by post, SMS or by telephone. Where you provide us with telephone numbers (mobile and / or landline) if you are not available when we try and contact you by telephone, we may leave you a voice message on any call answering system which is set up. If we have your email address or your mobile number, we may use this method of communication to contact you regarding patient surveys which are for the purposes of improving our service or monitoring outcomes and are not a form of marketing.

If you are not happy for Harborough Hearing Care and the clinicians responsible for your treatment including Archway reception staff) to contact you with basic administrative information such as appointment information, then please inform us immediately or speak to your clinician.

Marketing Information
Harborough Hearing Care would like to provide you with marketing information in relation to products and services offered by the clinic (including information about other products and services offered by selected third party partners). We would also like to use your personal data to provide you with more tailored and focused marketing. We will only do so with your consent, and in accordance with your preferred methods of communication. We do not share information with any other parties.
